Frequently Asked Questions about the Driver Improvement Course Discount

Registering and Purchasing the Course

May I take a driver improvement course for an insurance discount?
A three-year discount on your auto insurance is offered in many states. It is recommended that you contact your insurance agent to determine if your state allows the discount for a self-instructed course.

What if my state does not allow a discount for the driver improvement course?
Your auto insurance company may be able to provide discounts for other National Safety Council defensive driving courses based on state law or standard filing limitations. Talk with your insurance agent today to determine if a discount is available in your state and what restrictions may apply.
